Hot New Green Glamorous Mineral Makeup Line
Introducing A Green, Glamorous Mineral Makeup Line
Now that I've had a chance to experience the newest product my company offers I'd love to share it with you! Whether you use mineral makeup yet or not, I hope you will find my reviews, helpful hints and more informative and will consider Going Glamorous and Green with our Natural Mineral Makeup.
This product line hit the consumer market in early June 2009.
I have had two months to try out, experiment with and test market the product line for myself. Having had prior experience with Mineral Makeup, it was important to me that I found our product to be a good value, comparable to others in the marketplace and similar to and/or better in performance than what I purchased online or at the local mall.
From a consumer standpoint and someone who uses the product daily for about two months now, I have to say I am super pleased with the products, their value and performance as well as the benefits they are providing to my skin, my "look" if you will. I will share more about the Item Specifics later for the entire line but here are the highlights:
Made in the USA!
Contains Soy Protein
Contains Vitamin E
Gluten Free
No animal derived ingredients
No animal testing of our products
What does all of this, the fine ingredients used in our products and their more natural composition mean for you?
Let's explore this question further...
What Is Mineral Makeup?
The Benefits & History Of Minerals In Makeup
Today, Mineral Makeup is an everyday term to many women who are consumers and readers about beauty related issues. It is also a booming business.
Mineral Makeup's roots actually stem as far back as the 1970's. Then it was a quiet cosmetic movement and very little was heard about it.
Such is not true today!
So what is Mineral Makeup and what makes it different, you ask?
Mineral Makeup is a form of makeup that is more natural, less chemical based and comes in a powdery-like form. It is free of most of the harsh dyes, chemicals, preservatives found in most other types of makeup or cosmetic product. Thus making them a Go Green type of product that started with modest roots in the 1970's but has grown in following over the years.
Today, some of the biggest growth in the cosmetics and makeup industry is taking place in the Mineral Makeup arena. Women are learning more about it. Many more are trying it as a more natural alternative and are testing it's benefits to their skin and complexion.
Mineral Makeup is available through many companies, both online retailers and at many local malls and department stores. It's packaged under numerous brand names.
There is a range of price variance on Mineral Makeup products. On the low end, prices start at under $10 and on the high end over the $50 price mark.
It's in the eye of the consumer the true value for the price in these lines. Which is why I wanted to become a product of our product before I really touched on it's merits and value.
As I said, as a prior consumer of Mineral Makeup products our company has made me proud and I LOVE THEM!
So what's the upside and downside to Mineral Makeup?
On the upside: A lot of women love it. They love it's light look and feel, the fact that it leaves a more "sun-kissed radiant glow" than most traditional makeup and cosmetic products. It's believed that's because of the mineral based ingredients that stem from the earth. Mineral Makeup in all it's forms is said by many to perform longer and better than traditional makeups.
On the downside, some have experienced only mediocre results with this type of makeup. Their complaints range from a drying affect on the skin or a cracked looking finish. The end result of that being attention being drawn to age factors like wrinkles and creases instead of camoflauging them.
It is my opinion that the downside experiences are largely related to product ingredients and content and not the merits of this type of makeup itself.
Whatever your experience, I invite you to learn more about this new line and see if it's for you. I am glad to be introducing it to you!

So What Is In Our Mineral Makeup Beauty Line?
Here is an Overview of what our company and it's Mineral Makeup Beauty line offers:
MINERAL FOUNDATION: A formulation that is easy to apply and blend with tones for every skin pigment.
PRESSED POWDER: A natural mineral talc that's made with current pressed powder users in mind. Makes a great finisher for your mineral foundation as well.
BRONZER: Get that sun-kissed, radiant glow with our bronzer. It's multi-purpose and can be worn over, under or in conjunction with foundation and pressed powder to create the perfect look for yourself.
FINISHER: A vegetable based finisher that puts the final touches on your total mineral makeup look. It's designed to hide imperfections. Used over the foundation, powder and/or bronzer it gives you that totally "put together" finish.
BLUSH: Great shade choices to give you a highlight of color on your cheekbones and accentuate the glow and sun-kissed look you have created.
EYE SHADOW: An array of color choices that resist fading and creasing and give you a bright eyed look.
MASCARA: Our water based Mascara ROCKS in my book and it performs much better than ANY mascara I've ever worn. It doesn't require coats and coats during application, doesn't feel heavy and gives your lashes a great look that lasts all day with little fuss or worry.
SLIMLINE LIPSTICK: Our lipsticks are meant to bring out your natural hues in your lips, not cover them up. These great shades of lipstick are ultra light and don't feel gooky or gloppy on you. They look fabulous and give you a great look while keeping your lips moisturized.
LIP GLOSS: The lip gloss is the perfect finishing touch to your Mineral Makeup regime and again gives your lips added moisture and a great look without the heavy feel.
Further details are available in the Shopping Cart of my company website but here's a quick overview. It's a complete line and designed to give you a great look at very competitive prices in my estimation.

The Kabuki Brush
Is Mineral Makeup Success "In The Brushes"?
I say "Yes". A big part of the look you create has to do with the brushes you use as tools to put your makeup on!
Mineral Makeup is loose powdery form of makeup. The ability to blend, detail and blend again is an important factor in creating the look you desire.
They say you get what you pay for. Just as you can price compare the makeup you can do likewise with brushes. There are some things you will want to look at when shopping for brushes you want to use in your Mineral Makeup regime:
Natural Haired Brushes seem to be best and most experts agree on that.
Evaluate the quality of your brush set and how they will perform in achieving the looks and intended results you want.
Ask yourself: How well will these brushes achieve the blending and look I am wanting?
More expensive isn't necessarily better, but you don't want to be cheap here either. The perfect balance is to find and purchase brushes that give you optimum results and are good quality at reasonable prices.
Our Brush Kit and brushes which can be purchased separately are made from goat hair. Which was a big plus for me because I would rather the natural over synthetic brushes. With various sizes and uses the Travel Brush kit was worthwhile investment for me. They are quality brushes that are washable, flexible in their uses and made of the right ingredients. I find them to be of good quality.
In my eyes, the biggest make-it or break-it success brush is the Kabuki Brush. You can see a picture of a Kabuki brush above. It's a rounded edge brush that is wide for application of foundations, finishers, bronzers etc. where you want a mix of blending and maximum coverage.
The Kabuki Brush is unique in tht it has a basically non-existent handle. It is in the truest sense a fingertip brush. This gives you lots of flexibility and variation when creating your Mineral Makeup looks.
A Kabuki Brush in my estimation is well worth the investment. I disposed of my old one when I got our company's and I love it! This type of brush just makes the whole makeup process go smoother with more definition in my book.
One more pointer: Always make sure your brushes are always clean, washable and sanitized for the best results.
My Mineral Makeup Helps & Hints
Mineral Makeup Helps & Hints
The tips and helps I share below will enable you to enjoy the maximum success with our Mineral Makeup line:
CONTINUE ON A GOOD SKIN CARE AND MAINTENANCE REGIMEN:
This is vital to achieving the maximum best results from your Mineral Makeup applications.
The use of Mineral Makeup does not undo the need for a normal skin care regimen. For example, if you are prone to acne or roascea you will want to continue on a good cleansing and toning regimen to remove impurities in the skin before applying your Mineral Makeup.
If you are concerned about those fine lines or wrinkles, applications of both a good quality moisturizer (with SPF if you are concerned about sun exposure) and/or a night cream is essential to creating a look that minimizes those fine lines and wrinkles. Mineral Makeup is excellent for concealing a great deal of those however the palette you work on (your skin) is best when it is well cleansed, purified and moisturized.
CONCEALING BLEMISHES
Mineral Makeup and Finishers are excellent for hiding those trouble spots during the application of your makeup.
An old trick that I learned early on in my career (with a prior cosmetics company) is that something with a yellowish-golden base is a great natural concealer applied lightly under normal foundation and makeup. Please note: not metallic but more yellow in nature.
In experimenting with our Mineral Makeup line I have used this premise and actually tried one of our Eye Shadow Shades (the yellowish based color). I used this on a scar I have on my face from when I had the chicken pox when I was a child. I gently blended the Eye Shadow (lightly applied) to the area prior to applying my foundation and finisher and it worked like a charm!
That's one of the natural beauties about Mineral Makeup is their versatile nature. An eye shadow shade can double as a concealer etc.
Don't be afraid to play with a look or use products out of their labeled intent like that use of eye shadow to create a look that is uniquely your's and works best.
